Nature Birthday Parties!

Birthday FAQ (pdf)

Schedule a fun and unique birthday party for your child (ages 4-8) at our Wildlife Sanctuary! An Audubon teacher naturalist will guide children as they explore the Sanctuary and participate in fun environmental games and nature art. Choose from Bugs, Beach, and Bird nature themes.

Birthday parties are only scheduled on Saturdays from 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm.

Party Fees: $75 Room Rental (3 hours – includes 30 minutes for set-up & 30 minutes for clean-up)
$20 each child (15 children maximum / 6 children minimum)

Fees include a nature goody bag for each participant to take home!

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due immediately to reserve the date. Balance due the day of the event. Siblings ages 3 and older are considered participants and will be charged. Parents and chaperones are welcome and appreciated, but please limit the party to 30 people total, including participants.

We infuse our environmental education and conservation values into all our programs. Included below are suggestions to reduce waste and make sustainable choices when planning your child’s party. We will happily answer questions and provide you with additional resources.

  • Ask your child how she or he thinks we can make less trash at her/his birthday party. Challenge yourselves to have a “trashless” lunch.
  • Look for gifts with little or no packaging, or gifts made with recyclable materials. Encourage guests to do the same. Consider asking guests to make a donation to a favorite charity in your child’s name.
  • Reuse bows, ribbons, and wrapping paper. Try using posters, children’s artwork, comics, or other fun materials for wrapping paper instead of purchasing it.
  • Support food retailers that are environmentally aware and use less packaging. Bring dishes with local and/or organic ingredients.
  • Avoid single serving refreshment containers.
  • Bring home leftover food items, or donate them to a local charity.
  • Spread the word! Point out to your guests the ways that your party demonstrates waste reduction and sustainable choices.

By making a few simple choices, you teach your children and others to become environmentally aware citizens and leaders. Thank you!
